Daily Loss Limit

Intermediate

How the daily loss limit works and resets.

The daily loss limit restricts how much you can lose in a single trading day. This is measured from your balance at the start of the trading day (00:00 UTC).

How It Works

At the start of each trading day, your daily loss limit is calculated as a percentage of your starting balance for that day. If your equity drops below this level at any point during the day, your account is breached.

Daily Limit by Challenge

Challenge TypeDaily Loss Limit
2-Phase Standard5% of daily start balance
1-Phase Express4% of daily start balance
Funded Account5% of daily start balance
Important

The daily loss limit includes both realized (closed) and unrealized (open) losses. Floating drawdown on open positions counts! Always monitor your open P&L.

Reset Time

The daily loss limit resets every day at 00:00 UTC. Your new daily limit is recalculated based on your account balance at that time.
